1. What's happening to PayProtect?
We have decided to temporarily disable PayProtect while we make way for some exciting updates. We can't confirm when it will be back online, so we recommend discussing other payment options with the buyer/seller.
2. I have a transaction already happening in PayProtect. Can I continue with it?
Existing transactions already in progress in PayProtect will be able to be completed. If you're looking to start a new transaction (e.g. you've just agreed to use it with the buyer/seller), you won't be able start this transaction at this time.
3. What other options to I have to pay?
It does depend on what the buyer/seller are open to using. Some options include cash, cheque, bank transfer or money order. You may also decide to discuss finance options with your preferred finance provider. If you are buying from a dealer, you may also be able to use credit card or financing options.
4. I'm interested in buying a vehicle from another site and the seller wants to use PayProtect. How do I do this?
We are aware of a scam where a "seller" on a different classifieds website suggests PayProtect as a payment method. These "sellers" are often based at a remote location interstate, they don't take phone calls, and they need to sell their quickly (often suggesting that they'll deliver it to you). These sellers are not legitimate and we strongly recommend ceasing all contact with that seller. In general, if it seems too good to be true, it's probably false.
